This flamingo artwork was commissioned by the Art in Hands company. They produce art cards in city decks and then they decided to produce a deck of playing cards that represented the United States of America. They called it “Art in Hand, the USA Project”. They selected an artist in each state and only rule was it had to reflect the state. I was asked to produce artwork that represented the state of Florida, a flamingo, of course. My choose, not theirs. Happily they chose my card as one of six for the box cover.
