I had a friend that I knew since the age of three who passed away a few years ago. She wasn’t speaking to me for many years before she passed and I regret that I didn’t work harder to change that. She was one of the most beautiful women I knew. But I don’t think she really believed she was beautiful. Her obsession with perfection led to our estrangement. If I could just take back my words. I thought I was helping a very good friend.
Thoughts included in the painting (fabric mosaic):
“Be your own kind of beautiful. Be Yourself. Beauty is being the best possible version of yourself on the inside and out. Nothing makes a Woman more Beautiful than the belief that she is Beautiful. Confidence is beautiful. See the beauty in all and your light will shine. The most beautiful eyes are those that seek beauty in others.”
